I Arthur Robins Senr of the County of Northampton being weak
in body, but of perfect sense & memory do make & ordain this my
last Will & Testament, first recommend my Soul into the Hand's of my
Creator who gave it me as to my worldly Estate do give & bequeath as
follow's, to wit, Item, I give and bequeath to my loving Brother Thomas
Robins all my wareing apparel, my Silver Tea Pot, Sugar Dish, milk Pot,
Sugar tong's & two Hundred pound's cash to him & his Heir's.
Item, I give & bequeath to my loving Sister Peggy Dunton one Silver
Coffee Pot & two Hundred pounds cash to her & her Heir's. Item, I
give & bequeath to my loving Sister Bridget Ames two silver Sau's
boat's, six silver Tablespoon's small size Six Tea Do of the
small size my Will & desire is also that two Hundred pound's cash be
left in the Hand's of my Executor's and that my Sister Bridget Ames draw
the Interest annually for her support during her natural Life & at
her death I give & bequeath the said two hundred pounds to such
heir's of Bridget Ames as she may leave behind her equally to be divided
amongst them to them & their heir's. Item, I give & bequeath to
my loving Sister Polly Bonnavil wife of James Bonnavil one doz. of silver
Table spoon's, 14 Tea spoon's & two salt seller's & silver can,
two Hundred & fifty pound's cash to her & her Heir's. My Will
& desire is also that the Plantation whereon Carva Dunton now lives
and all my Negroe's except Negro woman Mason, my two Still's, all my tile
cask's & set Tub's be rented out together till the expiration of
Eighteen Hundred & Nine also my Will & desire is that all my
other Land's to be rented till the expiration of Same Time & my will
& desire is that my Executor's rent sd Land's &
Negroe's out from year to year either at Public or private Sale which
ever they may think best the Money's arising from the rents of Said
Land's & negroe's to be put to Interest as it becomes due till the
expiration of Eighteen Hundred & nine My Will & desire is also
that all the remaining Part of my Estate not before given or left to be
rented out to be sold at my death & all the Money's arising from such
Sale's after paying the Legacies & just debts with my Bond's &
Cash that I have be put out to Interest till the expiration of eighteen
Hundred & nine, and at the expiration of Said Period all my Property
not before given Negroe's excepted I give in manner & form
as follow's, to wit,
Item, I give my Manner Plantation whereon I now live to Arthur Robins Son
of Thomas Robins bounder's are as follow's Beginning at the mouth of the
Irish Ditch, running then as the creek run's to the line between
Zorobabel Henderson and said Plantation then up said Line of said
Henderson & Henry Dolby till it come's to the Sea Side road thence as
the road run's to a Saussfrie's Post put on the road for the purpose of a
boundary thence to a Pine marked for said purpose standing on the Irish
ditch thence down said ditch to the first Boundary to him & his
Heir's.
Item, I give & bequeath the Plantation whereon Leaven Ames now live's
to Isaac Robin's Son of Thomas Robin's, Boundereay are as follow's
beginning at a Saussfrie Post on the Sea Side road at the corner of the
fence dividing said Plantation from the Plantation whereon Henry Dolby
now live's running down the road to the line between the Plantation of
Henry Dolby & said Plantation thence up the said Line to the Boundary
between said Land's & the Land's of Joshua Turner thence along the
line dividing said Plantation from the Land's of said Turner to a
Saussfrie's Post put as a Boundary thence down to the Sea side road a
straight line to the first boundary to him & his Heir's.
Item, I give & bequeath to John Robin's Son of Thomas Robins the
Land's whereon Henry Dolby & John Sturgis now live's bounded as
follow's Beginning at the Boundeary dividing the said Land's from the
Land given to Isaac Robin's running up the Sea Side road to the Boundeary
dividing sd Land from the Land's of Thomas Robin's thence up
said Line to the line dividing sd Lands from the Land's of
Richard Cutler thence runing the line dividing said Land's from the
Land's of Wm Underhill to the Boundeary on the Sea side road
to him & his Heir's.
Item, I give & bequeath to Bowdoin Robin's
Son of Thomas Robin's all the remaining Part of my Land's lying below the
Sea side road not before given to him and his Heir's. Item, I give &
bequeath to the heir's of Polly Bonnavil and the heir's of Bridget Ame's
one half of all my Estate not before given Negroe's excepted to be
equally divided amongst them to them & their Heir's.
Item, I give & bequeath to the Heir's of Thomas Robin's & to the
Heir's of Peggy Dunton the remaining half of my Estate not before given
Negroe's excepted also the four Son's of Thomas Robin's Namely Arthur,
Isaac John & Bowdoin Robin's which I mean not to share with the other
children to be equally divided amongst them to them & their Heir's.
Item, my Negroe's namely Mason, Will Senr Solloman, Abraham,
Will Jr & Grace after they have served truly &
faithfully under the guidance of my Executor's to the expiration of
Eighteen Hundred & nine my desire is that they have their Freedom
agreeable to the Law's of this State and all my other Negroe's namely
Zekeal, Sarah, Mason Jr, James and all other's that may be
born of Grace until the expiration of Eighteen Hundred & Nine my
desire is that they may be under the guidance and tuition of my
Executor's till they shall severally arrive to the age of Twenty one then
to have their freedom agreeable to the Law's of this State. I
Anominate Thomas Robin's my loving Brother &
Carva Dunton Executor's to this my last Will & Testament In Testimony
whereof I have hereunto affixed my Hand & Seale this 13th
day of November Anno Domini 1802. ~

At a Court held for Northampton County the 13th December 1802.
This Will was proved by the oath's of Caleb Fisher, John Stirgis Senr and Isaac Dunton Witnesse's thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And on the Motion of Thomas Robin's & Carva Dunton the Executor's therein appointed & they having taken the oath and entered into Bond with Securitie's according to Law, a Certificate is granted them to obtain a Probate thereof in due form.
